5.03.2005 | Final Word
I think I can safely say that this blog is officially dead. I've killed it.

For the longest time I just felt no urge to post anything, and then I suddenly felt the urge to make a new blog, so this is what I came up with. You can read all I have to say there now.

Later on I might want to come back here... Who knows? So this blog won't be deleted. It'll just sit here in its dark little corner of the internet. Spider webs will soon join it. Ech.

1.30.2005 | Party?
Hm. A pretty boring, and yet extremely busy, week. And here comes another. This next weekend should be interesting, though. My parents are going down to Georgia on Friday to visit Juliet during her birthday, and they're not coming back until Tuesday night. Party at my house!!

No, I kid. Really - no party.

My parents leaving basically means a long weekend of taking care of my little sister. She's sweet, don't get me wrong, but she can be the devil when she wants to get her way. Juliet, you know what I mean. There's probably going to be a night where she'll want to watch movies until she falls asleep and a night where she begs and pleads to be able to go to a sleepover. Well, that's fine, she can leave. I'll just invite over a friend of my own and watch movies until I fall asleep.

That actually doesn't sound like such a bad idea.

My movie has finally been fixed, so I'll be able to get a copy of it soon this week. If you'd like to see it, just let me know - maybe I'll have a movie fest at some point, invite everyone who cares at all and let them just laugh their heads off at me - I'm sure you've all heard of the sexy hair scene!

Ahh.. I hope Clint's movie will be put on my DVD - I still haven't seen it yet, and I'm in it (I think..)! I know they reshot the scene where I was supposed to be the teacher, but I also did a voice-over for the end credits... Hmm. Guess I'll see later on.

I promise to post more often from now on!

1.22.2005 | Loverly
I'm really, really hungry right now - I haven't eaten since breakfast, so I'm going to try to make this short and sweet so that I can go eat.

I was supposed to be going to a surprise going away party today, but I still don't know when it was supposed to be, or even where. I tried calling someone to find out, but they didn't answer, so I guess I'm stuck here, even if they do end up calling. It might have even been canceled because of the bad weather. Bad weather, yes, but oh so pretty! We got about 6-7 inches of snow last night, and even though it closed down the streets for most of the day (another wonderful snow emergency was called), it covered up the icky melting snow from our last storm. Yay for fresh snow.

There's a possibility of going to a pizza-thing that one of my dad's coworkers is having, so I might be having homemade pizza tonight - yummy. And I think I have this annoying little headache because I'm so hungry, so off I go to eat something. We really need to go grocery shopping - we have no food.

1.18.2005 | Finals = Freedom
So, I've got finals this week. Starting tomorrow actually, and I really am supposed to be studying right now, but that wasn't ever going to happen. I procrastinate too much.

I just can't wait for Thursday to be over with. Last day of finals, last day of musical practice for the week, a dentist appointment I'm not looking forward to (I've never liked the dentist), but then I'm home free for the rest of the week! My friends and I will possibly have another poker night Thursday, and if not that night, then on Friday, and Friday is a wonderful short day of new classes - only 45 minutes long, too! Woo for the beginning of a new quarter!

Woah... Can you tell I'm just a little hyper right now? Must be the new chapstick - Blistex Spa Effects. Mmm... Yummy.

If any of you are free in April, you should all come to the 3rd quarter choir concert. Show choir is getting just a little... risque. See, the 3rd quarter concert has recently taken on the tradition of being the medley concert. Show choir is doing a medley from Chicago, which you probably know is a very sexy musical. Since show choir always dances to whatever we sing, we're (of course) doing choreography to this number, and it's quite a lot of fun. We're really like one big family, so in theory we should be totally comfortable with whatever poses we need to do. But, in reality, people are still getting all nervous and giggly, which gives you an idea of how far these poses are going. Trust me, there's nothing too over the top (yet), but it's definitely more than we've done all year.

Heh, fun stuff.

1.06.2005 | In a Slump
I don't really like the word "slump", but that's a good thing I suppose since being "in a slump" isn't supposed to be appealing. I've been feeling depressiony-icky for the past few days, and I really can't say why. Possibly because things with a few of my friends haven't been going well, possibly because things with Byron haven't been all that awesome this week, or maybe even because, if there's even a God or higher power or anything out there, they have decided to hate me.

I just noticed that whenever I use my hands for things like playing the piano or typing on a keyboard, they always get cold, but my pinkies are the first fingers to feel the effect. Odd.

Wisconsin has recently had snow dumped on it, and I mean that literally. Wednesday we only had a couple inches of snow, but last night and into this morning there was a really bad snow storm, and now we have a good five or six inches of snow, if not more. Wednesday there was a long list of schools closed throughout the area, and I definitely wasn't expecting a snow day since my school district has only closed one or two times my entire life, but this morning I really thought we would finally get one. My city even issued a snow emergency, but even with that threat we were the only district in the entire county that wasn't closed! A school just a few blocks away from us was closed, so why not us?

After first block was over, I found out that people finally got some sense and decided to "close" school after all, but only for those who hadn't shown up yet, which is almost as bad. Half the school struggled to get there relatively on time, and the other half just got to wallow away because they were lazy. I'm sure some of them really couldn't leave home because of car problems and such, but I know of many who just decided to have their parents call them in "sick."

And I still haven't been able to play in the snow yet. I need to do that tomorrow... I was invited to go with someone today after school, but I had promised I'd help edit for a while, so that was a no-go, but perhaps I'll be able to do something tomorrow with them. Perhaps.

1.02.2005 | 2005
First off, New Year's Eve was awesome fun. The group of us going down to State St. for sushi ended up being Byron, Byron's cousin Ian, Julia (from Austria), Maddy, Ashton, and myself. The sushi was delicious - anyone want to go down to Wasabi with me again? After sushi we headed down to the union lakeshore where we absolutely froze. I couldn't feel my legs after that. We then went back up to the parking ramp to watch the fireworks at 10:00 (we parked on the roof). The view wasn't all that great from inside the car, so we all piled up on top and huddled together for warmth. Fun times. I ended up getting home around 2:30, which didn't make my parents very happy, but I still would have stayed out that late if I could do it over again. I wasn't doing anything wrong or bad - I was just having an awesome time talking and hanging out with everyone.

Now that it's a new year, I guess I should try a hand at some resolutions. I don't usually do this, but why not this year?

  • Take more chances in theater and music, such as solos, plays, and the next movie class.

  • Finally clean, organize, and decorate my room, which includes a tv and dvd player.

  • Get a job.

  • Learn how to play video games well. No turning of the entire control system when trying to move the character.

  • Make a movie during the summer on my own - no help from Siharath.

  • Be happy more, just in general. I got too depressed too often during 2004.

  • Compose a piece for the piano.

  • Perform that piece at either a choir concert or piano recital, or both.

  • Choose the top 3-5 colleges I want to go to.

  • Get my liscence finally.

12.31.2004 | New Year's Eve
Yesterday we were almost done filming, but the church that we were filming at decided to close early at 1:00, so we decided to just finish it next week during school. We didn't want to have to film during all of our 2005 festivities.

Byron and I ended up going shopping yesterday instead of today, and it was a really fun trip. I ended up getting Ocean's 11 and a book of The Twelfth Night at Borders, and Death to Smoochy at PrePlayed, the most awesome store in Madison! They sell pre-played movies, cds, games, gaming stations, and instruments at honest prices. Byron ended up buying around 6 dvds for only $40!

Tonight I may be going with Byron, his cousin who's in town, and a few of our friends to eat sushi downtown, and then hang out on State St. until midnight. If I don't go with them, I'll be heading over to Sammy's party.

And woo for me, I'm wearing my bright green sweater today! Can you tell I'm just a little hyper at the moment? Maybe it's the slight scratchiness of my awesome green sweater, or perhaps it's the small handful of gummy bears I just ate. Or maybe it's the fact that I'm wearing green when I used to absolutely hate the color. I love this sweater, though!
